You will be taken from the Champs Elysées in the West of Paris to the Place de la Nation, in the East, thanks to metro line 2, one of the most fascinating lines of Paris. As a matter of fact, during this tour, you will pass from the very chic and ultra touristy areas of the XVIe arrondissement, near the Arc de Triomphe, you will then explore the wonderful Monceau Gardens.
Then, when you'll walk out the station "Pigalle", you will discover a more popular Paris, with it's cafés and the Moulin Rouge cabaret. If you like, you will even be taken to Montmartre from there. You will then stop in the very popular Barbès-Rochechouart station, before taking a walk near the Canal Saint-Martin, the Père-Lachaise cementery and ending the tour near Nation, a magnifiscent circle in Paris, with cafés and bars to end the day. |
The wanderer's tips
This tour is particularly long. You should book the tour either at 9am or at 2 or 3 pm. You will also walk a lot, and use stairs a lot (especially if you choose to visit Montmartre as well.)
This tour will make you use metro-tickets as well (7 or 8 per person...) The best thing to do if you are sure to take the tour is to buy a Paris Visite card from the RATP services (10,85€ per person for a day, and you will be able to use buses and metros with no limit.) Check it out here.
